I signed up to run a 5K. I was coerced into this by my sister, and I am not altogether convinced it was a good idea. It is not a traditional 5K. It is one of those events with obstacles intermingled between the running portions. And it is zombie themed. Which means, added to the torture of a 3.10686 mile run, there are obstacles to overcome, mud and 'blood' that has been promised and, otherwise normal, human beings dressed for the day like the walking dead and attempting to 'kill' you by removing one of your three flag football-esqe life lines. I'm not at all sure this is my scene.
Not to mention, after day one of training, I have realized I am quite horribly out of shape. I started a training program called from Couch 2 5K, virtually promising to have even the laziest of us couch potatoes up and at em by race day. I could barely muster through the first workout. Today should be day two, following a day of rest. I am looking out the window praying the rain continues so I have an excuse not to get off the couch.

Yay for a new blog post!!! I think your next blogging challenge should be to track your progress of your training for the 5K... Can you blog every day between now and then? I dare... No, I double dog dare you!:)
It's not that bad!! I'm sorry I coerced you though. I didn't think I pushed that hard. :( If it makes you feel any better, the Apocalypse party should be pretty rad!
